United Way of Forsyth County provides fiscal sponsorship to grassroots initiatives and emerging organizations that want to make a difference in our community but may not yet have nonprofit status. By serving as the fiscal sponsor, we offer administrative support, financial management, and compliance oversight—so community leaders can focus on mission and impact.
Our role includes:
Across Forsyth and Dawson Counties, thousands of hardworking households are struggling to make ends meet. These families are part of the ALICE population—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. They earn above the Federal Poverty Level, but not enough to afford the basics like housing, childcare, food, transportation, and healthcare.
Day of Caring is United Way of Forsyth County’s single largest volunteer day, bringing the community together to give back year after year. It’s more than just a day of service—it’s a powerful example of what we can achieve when we work together to support our neighbors in need.
For many, health opportunities depend on where they live or what they earn. We’re working to change that.
Our mission is to support and educate the Hispanic community by showcasing accessibility to resources and programs in Forsyth County.

Women United is a powerful network of women leaders who are passionate about creating lasting change in our community. As part of United Way of Forsyth County, Women United harnesses the strength, talents, and generosity of women to invest in solutions that improve the lives of children, families, and neighbors in Forsyth and Dawson Counties.
We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all information received by United Way of Forsyth County, both online and offline, on any Platform ("Platform", includes the United Way website), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.
Youth United is United Way of Forsyth County’s youth leadership and service program, empowering high school students to become changemakers in their community. Through volunteer projects, leadership development, and hands-on experiences, students learn the value of service while building skills that prepare them for the future.
